Tenant Counseling

Counselors help residents identify people, places, and situations that may trigger relapse. Counselors also help residents understand and change behavior patterns associated with using drugs.

Anger management and conflict resolution are major focal points during counseling sessions. Residents are empowered to take control of their anger and channel their emotions into constructive words.

As residents grow through the program, counselors assist them with employment and housing issues. First and foremost, each resident is encouraged to obtain and maintain employment. As residents prepare to exit Trinity House-Big Bethel, counselors help interpret leases and uncover any unjust or exploitative situations.

In addition to providing counseling for current residents, Trinity House-Big Bethel provides aftercare counseling and services to residents who graduate or make positive transitions into permanent housing.
